It depends on the company that is doing it. When we moved accounts from a bank to a credit union, they offered to refinance at a better interest rate than we were getting from our bank. I had just made a payment the week before and everything was done before the next payment became due, so it was a little over two weeks. In most cases, it shouldn't take more than a month.
