Question: Can a appraiser stop you from getting a refinance loan.?

I had a appraiser come to my house to appraise it. He told me I needed piers on my house. And he was going to recommend that they be put it. And if I don't put them in I would not be able to get the refinance loan. I don't have any problems with my house. I had my house inspected when I bought it there were no problems then or now. I don't have any cracks or anything that would look noticeable. I don't know what he is talking about. But could he stop me from getting this loan if I don't buy piers since I don't need them. no it's not manufactured it's a conventional loan. I don't know the value. But he said the value wasn't the problem. I don't need help getting a loan I have excellent credit. I want a appraiser to answer the question.

Yes. He is responsible for valuing your house. If he give your house a value that is lower than your Current Mortgage then you most likely will not qualify for a refinance.

Is your house a manufactured home? If so piers are required and you will not get the loan if you don't do it. The appraiser is required to list it as a requirement if you are trying to do an FHA loan.

In regards to your question. My little advice is that you go to a bank in your area to request for the loan, I think that would be a bit easier for you, but let me also recommend you to a loan firm that offers unsecured loans in order to ease your situation, though he is the only one I have tried for now so I don't really know if their interest rate is the lowest. Few months ago when I had a bad credit, a friend of mine introduced me to them, inspite of my bad credit they were able to loan me 25K of which I used to revive my business, I think you too can do the same as well.
