Proshares has 53 different ETF's that short various segments of the market, including the 30 Dow stocks and the S &P 500; proshares.com/ funds/ #sort= Name &direction= asc &tab= overview &fundGroup= short1x,short2x,short3x You should THOROUGHLY read the prospectus on these types of ETF's (or any, for that matter) before you buy.

I'm sure there's an exchange traded fund that mirrors the DJIA or S &P500.
