Home refinance procedure - start to final.?

Question: Home refinance procedure - start to final.?

(Posted by: James1982 on 2008-12-05 18:54:08)

I recently initiate a home refinance, now, I was told 'pre- approved'. The step next will be appraisal, then of course, closing. I would like to know a little bit details on the steps toward the closing. Particular, should I have my own attorney involved? Since today's business relies on e- mail, fax a lot, I may never see or meet with my loan processor. When should I sign any paper and what kind of paper I should not sign? Since the loan involved big cash out, what should I be careful about? Should I sign any paper and FeDex back then expecting a check will be in the mail? Basically, I would like to know if there will be scam involved. Your experience and knowledge are kindly soliciteded.

Consult with you own attorney because he is she is working for you. Under no circumstances do you want to use the financing company's attorney. Before you do or sign anything make an appointment with your attorney. They can spot a scam or a rip off pretty quick and advise you better than a layman such as I ., Hope this helps.
